The Mission of
Bethlehem Covenant Church

The purpose of this congregation is to unite believers in fellowship: for the worship of God, the spiritual nurturing and development of children and adults, the winning of persons to Christ, and the extension of the Gospel through witness and service in our neighborhood and beyond.

VISION

Bethlehem will remain an urban church and will continually seek to improve its capacity and effectiveness to serve God in its neighborhood. To accomplish this, we will work together to:

• Help individuals in the congregation discover, develop, and continually renew a Christian faith that gives strength for the present and hope for the future through worship, prayer, scripture and other study, personal sharing and support, and renewal opportunities.

• Nurture the development of Bethlehem as a Christian community that is unique, yet inclusive, that challenges individuals to grow and to take responsibility for this development and to value each other’s unique contributions in the process.

• Inspire and facilitate participation in outreach programs that meet people's physical and spiritual needs in the community and beyond through community projects, home and foreign missions, lay visitation, and personal evangelism.
